The Gear Closet is a collection of fieldwork clothing that current VIU students can borrow.

Bring your VIU card to the Library Service Desk to check out available gear, or place a "volume hold" on a specific size of item to be notified when it becomes available. Loans are for up 7 days and are not eligible for renewal.

Before you return borrowed gear, clean it thoroughly. Return clean gear to the Library Service Desk during open hours.

What's in the closet?

The Gear Closet has been made possible through a collaboration between VIU's Resource Management Officer Technology program, the VIU Foundation, and the VIU Library. Generous funding to support this collection was provided through donations made to the VIU Foundation.
