First published in 1867, the Canada Year Book (CYB) charts key trends and indicators in the nation's economy, population, society and environment.

This series of profiles provides analysis on a variety of topics and issues concerning victimization, offending and public perceptions of crime and the justice system. The profiles primarily draw on results from the General Social Survey on victimization. Where applicable, they also incorporate information from other data sources, such as the Census of the Population and the Incident-based Uniform Crime Reporting Survey.

This publication provides a statistical summary of police-reported crime in Canada and the provinces/territories back to 1962. Included in this publication are the following categories of tables: standard crime tables at the national and provincial/territorial levels; an historical crime table dating back to 1962; a municipal table describing crime in census metropolitan areas (CMAs) with populations over 100,000; and many more.

This series of reports provides detailed statistics and analysis on a variety of topics and issues concerning Canada's justice system. Annual Juristats are produced in the following areas: crime statistics, homicide, impaired driving, justice system resources and expenditures, youth court statistics, youth custody and probation and corrections statistics. Additional Juristats are also produced each year on current topics of interest to the justice community.
