In getting started, LibrarySearch searches most of the VIU Library collection, online and print, simultaneously. Search results will include ebooks, print books, videos, DVDs, CDs, kits, dissertations, government publications, newspaper and journal articles, book chapters, and more.

Note: If you are accessing library resources for the first time, you'll need to set up a computer account here.

Tips to Search More Effectively

To be time-efficient in your search, it helps to apply some useful strategies. For a quick refresher on how to use search techniques in LibrarySearch and other databases, watch the Introduction to LibrarySearch video below:

All current and updated changes to VIU Library services can be found in Covid-19 & Library Services guide.

For any resources that are not within the VIU Library collection, you can request an Interlibrary loan.
