The guidelines are unanimous that AI tools cannot be listed as co-authors or take responsibility for the content. Authors remain fully responsible for verifying the accuracy, ethical use and integrity of all AI-influenced content. Routine assistance does not need citation, but any substantive AI-generated content must be clearly referenced.

Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI) joins the ORCID Canada Consortium

From the announcement:The CFI works to increase the capability of Canada’s universities, colleges, research hospitals and non-profit research organizations to carry out high quality research by investing in research infrastructure.ORCID (Open Researcher and Contributor ID) produces unique, persistent identifiers that researchers can use with multiple organizations to compile the outputs of their research activities.
