Mendeley

Mendeley is a free reference and PDF manager, and a scholarly network that offers support for collaboration. Mendeley lets you collect and organize citations by importing citation information or dragging and dropping PDFs. It has a Word plugin that allows you to insert citations and format bibliographies. You can also highlight and annotate your PDFs in Mendeley and share them.

Creating an account

  1. Go to: https://www.mendeley.com/
  2. Click on "Create account" on the top-right of the page
  3. Enter your information and click continue
  4. Select your area of study and your position
  5. Click create account if you agree to their Privacy Policy & Terms and Conditions

Download & installation instructions

  1. Go to: https://www.mendeley.com/
  2. Click on "Download" on the top-right of the page
  3. Click on "Download Mendeley Desktop"
  4. Open the file and follow the prompts.
