Trade, Industry & Professional Associations
Association websites and publications can be great sources of information for industry research because they may publish information and research about the industry that you can't find in other places. Frequently associations will make at least some of this information publicly available.
For example, if you are researching the recylcing industry in Canada you may find useful information through associations related to that industry.
Search Google for words that describe your industry, together with the word "association"
Once you have found an association website, look for links to industry profiles, statistics, research, publications, resources, trends, etc.
